Amorphology Opens West Coast Demonstration Center Showcasing Starrag Bumotec’s s191H 7-Axis Machining Center
Amorphology, a NASA spinoff, has opened a demo center at its Pasadena headquarters to showcase the Starrag Bumotec s191H CNC machine. This machine will demonstrate the production of high-precision gears from amorphous metals (BMG), targeting applications in robotics, medical devices, and aerospace. Amorphology focuses on rapid prototyping and small-batch production of gears with high tolerance for extreme cold, offering advantages over traditional metals like steel and titanium. Their process is set to transform gear manufacturing for various industries.
